February 26 - Saving the Revolution: Lafayette’s Escape at Barren Hill
2:00 p.m. Historical Society of Montgomery County, 654 DeKalb Street
Norristown, PA 19401
The story of Lafayette’s escape from the British was considered nothing more than a minor skirmish and insignificant to the Revolution story. Because of recent research, retired history teacher and historian, Rudolph Cusumano, discovered how Commanding General Sir William Howe distorted the truth to hide his failure and downplay the American escape. Mr. Cusumano will speak on the life of this Patriot for the American Cause.
